Write a short synopsis about what the film is about, (include the film title and year), then your thesis statement based on the prompt you have chose, and then what you observed in the film that will support your thesis for your short paper. Length should be 2 pages (3-4 sentences per paragraph) following MLA style rules.
1 inch margins
Double spaced with size 12 font (NY Times preferred) – REMOVE extra line spacing between paragraphs (in the same menu where you choose to double space)
Never write in the first person for an academic writing assignment.
Each time the film title appears in your paper, it must either be italicized or in “parenthesis” and the first time it appears it must be followed by the year (1927) directed by Fritz Lang (for example)
Only use character names in your paper, it’s okay to use the actor’s names, but only after the first time, the character name has been used such as Maria (Brigitte Helm). After that, you would only use Maria when talking about the character.
