Careers in the apparel and textiles industries are diverse; examples include fashion designers, retail buyers, retail managers, retail merchandisers, stylists, textile designers, visual merchandisers, clothing textile technologists, etc. By researching online and using scholarly resources, we will explore what kinds of fashion-related jobs are available, and what specific jobs interest you. This process of identifying future careers includes a written report and presentation. Individuals will research a career that interests them and share it with peers.
In this assignment, you should find one career that you are interested in or did not previously know about in the fashion industry. Using online resources, websites, blogs, newspapers, magazines, or social networking services such as Instagram, Facebook, Tweet, Reddit, etc. You should research and collect as much information about your interesting career. Also, identify one fashion-related company that you would like to work with and research its history, special target, popular designs, fabrics, etc.
In your written report…
– Submit a research report that is at least 500 words. You will present this report.
– Include the definition and description of your chosen career, the typical salary and benefits of the career, and a detailed description of personal characteristics and natural abilities that are required for the career.
– Describe the history, specialty, target, design style, etc. of the company that you would like to work at.
– Please utilize the APA format.
– Citations are required for your written report
I would prefer it to be written about a career of being a fashion merchandiser is possible but any of the examples above are fine. 🙂
