For this paper I reached out to my instructor for clarification as to what I am supposed to write for this paper. Her response was: “You wanted to pick a CDS to solve a problem perhaps at your work. It could be a standalone software or perhaps some kind of alert like a sepsis alert for example. So you are acting as an informatics nurse and presenting this to your organization in the 2 papers. This paper discusses the issue, the CDS you are proposing to solve it etc.
The issue I want to present for solving are alerts for Covid within the system by alerting if the patient is Covid vaccinated or their Covid status with a time stamp attached. These are the instructions and the rubrics is attached.

Scenario for Individual Graded Project
For this assignment, take the position as the nursing information technology consultant for a health care organization. The organization wants to learn more about a computerized clinical decision support system (CDSS), either for purchase or for strategizing about how they can use their existing CDSS application more efficiently and effectively. The CDSS you select for this project may be one you are familiar with and have used, or one from a vendor site that provides advanced nursing practice decision support in a health care managerial, administrative, research, or clinical area.
If you use a CDSS that you have little familiarity or experience with, you should investigate the answers to the components of the paper. You may need to go to a nursing or patient care list of CDSSs on the Web to find a CDSS for your project. You should have feedback and approval from M3A1: Proposal for Executive Presentation Paper for CDSS to continue with the CDSS you have chosen.

The paper should include 7 – 8 pages of content (excluding title page and reference list – abstract is not required) and address all of the following criteria.

Describe the problem (the difference between a perceived condition and a desired condition) the computerized CDSS is being considered or currently used to solve in the health care setting of your choice. Include background information and rationale as to why this CDSS was selected to solve the problem.
Explain the functional components and structures of the CDSS.
Include:
vendor name and location on the Web
systems architecture/configuration and how it works
Analyze market penetration/saturation and provide evidence with response. Assess whether the CDSS supports advanced nursing practice decision making by specifying the objectives and key decisions to be supported by the CDSS
Organization Utilization of CDSS (30 points):
Identify the health care setting in which the CDSS is being used as well as potential areas of expansion.
Describe the organizational stakeholders who will purchase, influence, or champion the product’s implementation and ongoing support. Discuss any problems encountered at the agency with regards to:
