4.4 Assignment: Problem and Policy Solution
SUBJECT: HEALTHCARE” pROBLEM AND POLICY SOLUTION”
The purpose of this assignment is to help students narrow their topic. Within a topic, there are many issues. For example, some issues within immigration are; children of undocumented immigrants, unfair wages of undocumented immigrants, border control safety, the Syrian Refugee crisis, etc. It is important to focus on one issue within the topic. Once a student focuses on one issue, students are to find a policy solution. What can the government do to fix/maintain the issue? Students are encouraged to look back at assignment one to help them find a problem and policy solution. It is also important that students focus on either the federal, state or local level. Students may not focus on international issues.
After students discuss their problem and policy solution, they must have 3 arguments. 2 should be for their solution and one should be against their solution. This requires you to look at your articles from your Annotated Bibliography or research new articles that have arguments. Arguments must be cited, so please include a reference section. Please refer back to your first assignment for citation.
To cite a quote, you must cite it like this:
“…………………………………….” (author last name year, page number).
Example:
“If you are using a quote please use quotation marks” (Smith 2015, 25).
No page number:
“If you are using a quote please use quotation marks” (Smith 2015).
