What cultural clues does it have and what do these tell you?

Think of an organization that you are a member of. (baptist church) What cultural clues does it have and what do these tell you?
There is, however, the paradoxical phenomenon of cultural difference intensified at a local level within specific teams of staff. This cultural difference can be quite startling. The combined aggregate of these cultural differences in staff groups are called subcultures and their presence in organizations gives rise to the differentiated perspective in organizational cultural theory.
Subcultures are prolific in numbers and range. Take the ‘A’ typical medium sized organization. If you were to draft a table called the ‘cultural clue table’ and log the description of different cultural variables synonymous with different staff groups such as Accounts, HRM, IT, Marketing, Production and Operations you would quickly capture fundamental cultural differences between these groups that would leave you in no doubt that they have very specific occupational cultures that differentiate. If you were to dig deeper into a specific subculture, say Production teams, you will, with the use of the cultural difference table, start to unearth the dynamics of the subculture and the cultural themes that are unique to the cultural domain.
