The world is shrinking. New therapies and new uses for old therapies are shared across continents. For this project, you will focus on a type of biologically based medicine (aromatherapy, herbal medicines, functional foods and nutraceuticals) and how these therapies are viewed around the world.
Find an article, video, or recent news event about biologically based medicine that could be considered controversial from your cultural perspective.
State the therapy’s country of origin and describe how and why your chosen therapy is used by individuals in the country of origin and in the United States.
Discuss the controversial topic from both the proponent and opponent perspectives.
Discuss your personal perspectives of this type of therapy.

Create a presentation (PowerPoint, video, etc.) to include the all of the objectives listed above. The title slide of your presentation or first frame of your video should contain the link to your chosen article, video, or news event. Include citations on slides. References should be listed at the end of the presentation on separate slide(s) or video frame(s). PowerPoint presentations should contain a minimum of 7 slides, not including the title or reference slides. Video presentations should be a minimum of 2 ½ minutes. Include 1-2 peer-reviewed journal article(s) as references (not including your chosen article). Journal articles used as references must have been published within the last 5 years, unless it is considered a sentinel article. Additional references may include your textbook or other scholarly sources. All assignments should be in APA format according to the 7th edition of the American Psychological Association’s Manual.
