Epidemic Modeling Exercise

Answer each of the numbered questions
The
Colorado COVID-19 modeling team provided an online application for testing out
the version of the model from the paper you read, with the ability to
manipulate several of the model’s inputs, available here – https://cucovid19.shinyapps.io/colorado/ (Links to an external site.)
Using
that model, manipulate a few of the parameters available, and observe what
changes result in the projected scenarios. Pick one of those scenarios and
answer each of the following questions.
1. Why did you focus on
manipulating the particular parameter(s) you did?
2. Briefly summarize what
parameters you manipulated, and how its results differ from the defaults (you
can return to the default values by refreshing the page).
3. Explain whether you
think your manipulations or the default values are more appropriate assumptions,
and justify your answer.
4. What did you learn
about how modeling projections work by manipulating options with this
application?
