business issue addressed by consumer

You will be tasked with locating a recent article from the business world. The article must be from a news outlet such as NBC, CBS, Fox News, NPR, ABC, BBC, Al Jazeera etc. Articles from magazines will be too dated, articles from organizations (SHRM for example) are not appropriate. When in doubt, ask!
In the article you should find a business issue that was addressed in some way by the company/consumers etc. That issue is what you will be addressing in your review. What would you have done differently and why? Substantiate your response from theories/definitions/content from the text and relevant outside sources to rationalize your decision. You should also be prepared to present your article to the class and/or lead a discussion about the business’ response and defend your response as being more appropriate than one the business utilized.
Your review should include the following:
1-2 paragraph overview of the article, the issue and ramifications currently internally (to the company) or externally (economic environment)
1 paragraph detailing the business issue you identified in the article, identification and definition of the issue from the text, and how that issue was derived from the article you read
1-2 paragraphs hypothesizing how making a different business decision would have lead to more favorable outcomes for the company/environment. Identification and definition (from the text) of the theory/process/practice you would have employed en lieu of the decision made by the business.
The article reviews should be approximately 2 pages in length, double spaced, MLA or APA format. This does not mean once you hit the first line of the 2nd page that you have met the length requirements. If your writing does not got to at least ½ way through the second page, you have not covered the issue/response thoroughly enough.
Grade will be derived from the use of an appropriate resource, length requirement being met and the appropriate use of terms/definitions/theories in both identification of current situations and hypothetical ones proposed based off different decision making.
