Chapter Seven discusses something called “heuristics” which is a fancy way of saying “an educated guess based on prior experiences that helps narrow down the possible solutions for a problem” (Ciccarelli & White, 2020). There are two types of heuristics that the book talks about: representativeness and availability.

Ciccarelli, S., & White, J.N. (2020). Psychology. Pearson.
