We tend to think that we, personally, don’t conform to rigid gender stereotypes. What about everyone else, though? For this reflection, you will ask five friends or family the simple questions: “Do you think you are a stereotypical man or woman? Why or why not?” Make note of your answers so that you keep up with who said what. When writing your paper, you don’t have to give names, but be sure to identify the respondents as male or female and give their age or an estimate. Report if you find any patterns in the responses by age and provide an explanation of how their responses are reflective of how we as a society socially construct gender and the expectations we have for men and women. (All papers should be at least 2 pages and properly documented)
