For essay 1 you must research and compare cultural diversity in Latin America by comparing a specific cultural aspect of some Latin American countries. You must compare at least 2 different Latin American countries. It is necessary that you do not write general information about cultures, but investigate and delve into a specific aspect. Examples of specific cultural aspects: music, food, government, Independence Day traditions, Christmas or Three Kings Day traditions, dances, etc.
You need to write at least 500 words (more or less 2 pages), with an introduction, development of at least 3 well-crafted paragraphs and a conclusion. Also, don’t forget to include another APA-style “Works Cited” page. For this writing it is mandatory to use a minimum of 3 secondary sources (NOT Wikipedia) or other sources on the web. Be careful about committing plagiarism. See the Rubric for essays so you know how the essay will be evaluated.
The essay must include the following components:
1. The Introduction : It is in the first paragraph. Include a clear thesis.
General introduction of the topic of your essay
Thesis sentence of your work: specific focus of the essay
2 . The Body O Development : It is found in the second, third and fourth paragraphs. Explain or develop the thesis of the essay.
3. The Conclusion: It is found in the last paragraph. Reiterate the ideas presented.
The essay should be 1.5-2 pages. It must be typed on a computer in Times New Roman, font 12, double spaced with 1-inch margins on each edge. Make sure to check the work well before submitting it.
