Demographic and Segmentation research is an important part of any consulting gig. In this assignment you will just use US government census data to replace the data I have on these template slides from a previous consulting project. A couple things for you to know about getting segmentation data. First, the challenge to using census data is to realize that there is far more data than you could ever weed through. I usually don’t have great luck trying to download tables and filter the data. So I rather google around until I find an existing report or profile that has already summarized the data I need. In this case, you can see my google queries at the bottom of the template slides and it should take you pretty to the data you want to see. Also, in certain selections of data you can’t see what you want, so you just have to google for other sources to get that data from. In this case, just follow my lead on these slides and don’t kill yourself to get any other kinds of data. You can find it later.
