Every society faces the challenge of humanizing its children, teaching them the values and social codes that will enable them to be functioning, contributing members of the community. What childrearing practices did you experience that embody the values and social codes of your society?
Option 2.
Giving that nearly 70 million people in today’s world are inter-sexed and in light of the fact that only a very small fraction of these people have access to reconstructive surgery, what do you think of societies that have created cultural space for a third-gender option?
