Be sure to write paper in 3rd person. PURPOSE: The goal of science is to explain all natural happenings. Much has been learned since the study of science began before or during the Stone Ages. However, many things remain only partially explained and a great deal of research continues. New findings are published in scientific journals so that we can all share in new discoveries.
One important aspect of any science course is emphasizing the scientific method and new discoveries, and every student of science should be very familiar with scientific publications. Many new discoveries are vital to everyday life: new findings on diabetes, AIDS, and pollution, to mention a few, can influence the way we act and the way we vote to improve our quality of life.
