Write an amendment to the US Constitution. The amendment is only limited by your own imagination. Your amendment will NOT count in the word total of your paper, and if you desire you can research and find an older amendment that was not ratified (such as the ERA amendment in 1972) and write your Federalist Paper on that amendment. In either situation you must write the Amendment first, and then use your 800 WORDS with a 10% grace either direction to argue why the amendment should be ratified by the states. Your paper should have a clear thesis statement, which is that your amendment is necessary for the continued proper functioning of American government. As an argumentative essay this paper should have at minimum two claims for why your amendment should be ratified and evidence that supports that claim. In the event that you need to cite information from another source, such as using an amendment that was written by someone else, you will need to utilize APA style formatting
