Capstone Assignment: Entrepreneurial Audit
The purpose of the capstone project is to perform an entrepreneurial audit that will evaluate and assess the adaptability of your chosen organization.
Instructions
With this capstone assignment, you are asked to identify an established company that you are familiar with, preferably a current or former employer, and provide a thorough assessment of their operations from an adaptational/entrepreneurial perspective. Essentially, you are assessing:
*How adaptive/entrepreneurial your chosen organization is (basically, their entrepreneurial intensity score)
*What aspects of the organizational environment support or hinder entrepreneurial behavior on the part of employees
*Your recommendations for how the company can support higher levels of employee entrepreneurship
Your capstone assessment begins with your selection of an organization that you will be auditing. The next section contains a brief history of the organization including information around its founding and who founded it, the organization’s structural form and locations, and what products or services they sell. Following the background information on the organization, you will capture the results of the Entrepreneurial Intensity Assessment. The next section will contain your critique of their core business model, your evaluation of their Entrepreneurial Intensity Assessment results, and an evaluation of their entrepreneurship environmental climate. The capstone closes with your tangible recommendations for improving the adaptability of the organization by increasing their entrepreneurial intensity and how those recommendations can be implemented within the organization.
Your entrepreneurial audit consists of five sections:
1.Chosen organization introduction – name and a brief summary of what they do, mission and vision of the organization, and an explanation on what factors led you to choose this organization
2.Background information on the organization
3.Results from the Entrepreneurial Intensity Assessment
4.Climate assessment: Factors contributing to level of entrepreneurial intensity
5.Recommendations for increasing entrepreneurial intensity
This assignment must be in APA format (title page, body, and references page) and must include all cited sources, including figures and tables, in your references page. The entrepreneurial audit must be between 15 and 19 pages, excluding the title and references pages. A significant number of your sources for your capstone should be academic journal articles.
