Philip Freneau is known as a great journalist and poet of the Early Republic, though, as we learn from the Introduction section on him in our textbook, his talents didn’t exactly make him a millionaire. However, Freneau’s position in life did give him access to education and experiences that helped him to craft various writings and poems that are often seen as visionary in nature.
