For this assignment, you will create a plan to conduct a needs assessment for your particular area. You can choose to conduct a needs assessment for programming or for your entire office/department. Your plan should include the following elements:
1. A brief overview of your area or program you plan to conduct the needs assessment in and why this particular area/program needs the needs assessment (3-4 paragraphs at the most).
2. Describe the steps and timeline for your needs assessment. Using the reading Methods for Conducting an Educational Needs Assessment as a guide: will you do a survey, interviews, focus group, working group, or a mix of several? What would be the benefits and cons for the method(s) you’ve selected. List out potential questions if you plan to use surveys, interviews, or focus groups. If you choose to use a working group, what would be their guidelines?
The total paper should be between 2-3 pages, and no more than 3. There is no need for an APA title page or references. Ensure your paper is in Times New Roman, 12 point font, double-spaced, and adheres to proper grammar.
