With consideration of why Deborah Lipstadt declared that David Irving is a Holocaust denier,
please discuss at least THREE substantial themes from Evans’ account of his participation (his
book, Lying About Hitler) in their libel case. What does his account reveal about historical “truth”,
and which would you say is important to the construction of such truth – perspective or evidence?
