some feedback on their outlines.
10 points possible. 4 points for posting your full-sentence outline. 3 points for each for providing feedback on 2 of your
peers’ work.
Deadlines
Step 1: Compose your outline. For this assignment, I ask that you compose a full-sentence outline. That is, you must
write a topic sentence for each body paragraph. To prepare, please review these materials first: (1) These slides
which provide an overview of the structure your Textual Analysis Essay.
Here is a sample outline ,. Note that the thesis is presented in the first paragraph. The thesis must be a complete
sentence that captures the main argument you will be making in your essay. Also note that the outline has a topic
sentence for each of your three body paragraphs. The topic sentences must connect back to the idea in your thesis. The
topic sentence must be a complete sentence. Finally, note that there are at least two supporting details (evidence from
the text) provided for each body paragraph. The supporting details support the argument in the paragraph’s topic
sentence.
