Dissertation – my dissertation is based on leadership and my research method is a questionnaire using both quantitative and qualitative method. I am an insider researcher who will be questioning fellow teachers/colleagues.

considers the different elements that might pose a challenge during the collection of your data and states the strategies that you might take to overcome these challenges.
The contingency planning for the small scale investigation requires an outline of where you see there may be challenges to your original plan and how you might modify that plan in the event of it being disrupted. You may choose to present this as a table or chart, or as a bullet point list of challenges and responses, rather than in continuous prose
challenges should include:
feasibility of the study
lack of control of events
participant reactivity
access to settings/ participants
researcher’s bias
ethical challenges
technical problems
participant’s consent/withdrawl
validity, reliability and security of data collected
unplanned/ unexpected external and internal events
researcher: personal professional issues.
