EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY

You may earn up to 12 points of extra credit (equivalent to 2 quizzes or half of an exam) by completing the following:

1) Choose a film from the approved list below and watch it in its entirety.

2) Write one FULL page, double-spaced, 12 pt. Times New Roman font, with 1″ margins for your response. Your name should be in the header. NO OTHER HEADING should be provided.

Your response should:

1) Briefly summarize the film.

2) Describe the different perspectives presented in the film relating to the sectional divide

experienced by the United States in this era, race relations and the war.

3) Explain the historical significance of the film AND how it relates to class content.

4) Analyze the historical accuracy of the film.
