The written project organization is simple:
1 to 1.25 pages of text MAXIMUM per student (2-2.5 pages MAX for both students). This does not
include 1 cover page, 1 outline page, & 1 biblio page). If you write a paper that is longer than what is
required, you will lose points. Your paper text will follow this:
Font size = 12, Font type = Arial, Spacing = 1.5,
Margins: 0.5” from top – 0.5” from bottom – 1” from left – 1” from right
Format: MLA (only with the bibliography citation “in the text” & in “works cited page”).
Works cited: every citation (source) must be a peer-reviewed journal. When you read the
step by step peer-reviewed journal search method, uploaded in canvas, you will
understand what peer-reviewed journals are and how to find them and use them in your
paper. Every source must be cited in the text & in the works cited page (see MLA citations
format). You need 6 peer-reviewed journals cited in your paper if you are alone or
12 sources total (6 per student) if you are in a group of 2. NOT MUCH!!!
Remember; first, make an outline for your project. How? Research your project and accumulate all
relevant data from school library database (see posted video in canvas in research paper section in
Modules). There is a document in canvas to show you step by step how to access HCC database and
get relevant articles and journals (peer-reviewed) and not Wikipedia. Then, write an outline for your
project (list of concepts you want to talk about in an organized format) & follow it when writing your
project. I grade how you explain your thoughts process, how many peer-reviewed journals you use to
support your writing, how convincing you are with your statements, & whether your story is continuous
as a chain reaction that’s easy to follow or not. I also grade the quality of your sources and how you cite
them in your paper. Your project should be written so that anyone can read it entirely without being lost
or ask a lot of questions. You shouldn’t jump from one idea to another in the same paragraph. Make
sure to make a paragraph for each concept or idea. Make sure your explanations are chain-reacting
throughout the paper. If you start a different idea, change line and start a new paragraph. Bibliography
page should contain at least 6 peer-reviewed journals per student, which are used in the text to support
your statements in your paper (only books and peer-reviewed journals are accepted). I do not grade or
judge your personal opinions, you are free to have any opinion you want. Whether I agree with you or
not has nothing to do with your project grade
