In your paper, discuss how author Elaine Weiss uses the narrative style to the tell the story of the quest
for women’s suffrage in the United States. Who does she identify as the primary characters in this
historical story? In what ways did inter-movement conflicts, political opportunism, and strong
personalities influence the fight for (and eventual passage of) the 19th amendment to the Constitution?
