Midterm Exam question: – On Cybersecurity
Consider the Cybersecurity Act of 2012 (which was not passed), Executive Order 13636 and Presidential Policy Directive -21. All three called for voluntary participation in enhancing the security and cybersecurity of critical infrastructure owned by the private sector.
Discuss WHAT would be 2 or more obstacles that the government would face in order to get the private sector to comply to a voluntary enhanced cybersecurity program?
How can the 2+ obstacles you list in your paper be addressed and overcome?

WRITING ASSIGNMENTS & SCOPE OF EXPECTATIONS (25% for Midterm and 25% for Final)
The Midterm and Final will be writing assignments. The paper will be written in the APA version 7 writing style with appropriate citing. Intext citations will contain page numbers or paragraph numbers, whichever is appropriate. Both assignments will be a FULL 5-page narrative (free feel to write more up to 10-12 pages) and outside research will be required. Each paper must reflect a minimum of 4 or more references. Your text book can be considered as one source.
Both writing assignments will be typed, double-spaced with 1” margins on all sides, using 12pt. Times New Roman font.
Each paper will contain a Cover sheet, 5 FULL pages of narrative, closing with a reference listing for a minimum total of 7 pages for each assignment.

5 points, per page, will be deducted if the narrative is less than 5 FULL pages (4 & ¾ pages will lose 5 points).
5 points, per missing reference, will be deducted for references under the required number of 4.
2 points will be deducted if a source is provided in the reference list and is not cited in the paper and vice versa. (For every source listed on the reference page, you must have a corresponding in- text citation in your narrative).
2 points will deducted if the student paper cover sheet is formatted incorrectly such as missing information, too much information, graphics or pictures included.
2 points will be deducted per page if the narrative pages are formatted incorrectly (running head and page numbers etc.).
2 points will be deducted if the reference listing page is formatted incorrectly such as not using hanging indents, proper listing structure regarding information positioning and proper alphabetical order.
2 points will be deducted if the font is not the required 12pt. Times Roman with 1” margins and the paper is not doubled spaced.
2 points will be deducted for each extra wide spacing between paragraphs. (This is the ‘trying to extend the paper to 5 full pages without adding content’ trick)
