The main question: Why the state of Kashmir is a bone of contention in India-Pakistan-China triangle and how it impacts on regional and international diplomacy?
1.1) The Introduction sets the scene. It introduces the question/problem and explains the purpose and focus of the paper. Here are the different steps that you have to observe:
1. Start with a catch phrase: the purpose is to catch the reader’s attention by introducing your topic. To do so, use a relevant quotation, an anecdote, an allusion to another literary work, an analogy, an accurate fact or event, relevant statistics to introduce your topic.
2.Provide definitions of the key term(s) to deal with the scope of the topic in order to properly circumscribe it (geographical and historical boundaries). Pay attention that a definition is not a dictionary definition but an explanation of a term that your paper will cover.
3.Provide some background information (context), about the previous work in the area, the research gaps; the regional, national and international context (Politics, Diplomacy, IR, Economics…)
4.Outline and explain in summary form how you are going to deal with the topic.
5.Raise the key issue of your dissertation in the form of a question (direct or indirect).
6.Announce your essay structure, namely the two main parts of your dissertation.
