Literature Review:
The literature review should reveal to the readers that the author has a wealth of in-depth knowledge of the areas of study and how the articles used to support the research fits into and adds to the current body of agreed knowledge study.
The following task is significant to the literature review:
1. Students must establish a familiarity with a body of knowledge and build the integrity of their own work.
2. Encapsulates previous studies’ and linked them to your current research.
3. Students should assimilates and summarizes what is to going to be acknowledged about a subject.
4. Students must demonstrate that they have learned from others and that their research is a starting point for new ideas.
5. The literature critically analyses the information gathered by identifying gaps in current knowledge; by showing limitations of theories and points of view; and by formulating areas for further research and reviewing areas of controversy
6. Finally, the literature review must be organized
Quantitative methods highlight objective measurements and the statistical, mathematical, or numerical analysis of data collected through polls, questionnaires, and surveys, etc… Quantitative research focuses on gathering numerical data and generalizing groups of people or to explain a particular phenomenon.
Students’ goals are to conduct quantitative research study to determine the relationship between an independent variable and a dependent (or outcome) variable within a population.

Single Mothers’ School Achievement and The Number Of Hours Spent Caring For Their Sona and/or Daughter Or Children: Correlational Study.
a. Introduction
The title of the project will be titled “single mothers’ school achievement and the number of hours spent caring for their son/daughter or children: Correlational Study.”
b. Background of the Study
While having a babysitter during graduate school classes and homework hours can assist a single mother manage her workload tremendously, it is rarely an option for her. Being a full-time graduate student and a full-time single mother is extremely difficult; how much time do single mothers actually spend with their children while in graduate school?, How much time does she spend in class or on work that needs to be turned in? Because graduate school, like parenthood, necessitates a person’s complete focus due to the tremendous effort. Motherhood is a full-time job with no days off, and being a full-time graduate student requires dedication and virtually no days off, so dividing the time and workload may be nearly impossible, causing the single mother to eventually burn out.
c. Purpose of the Study
The main objective of this project is to determine if there is a significant relationship between the two variables, single mothers’ performance in school and the number of hours spent in taking care of their son/daughter or children.
d. Theoretical Framework (including theories to guide the study along with the independent and the dependent variables).
The researcher will employ arithmetic mean and Pearson R correlation to analyze the data. The researcher will be using the arithmetic mean to describe single mothers’ performance in grad school and the number of hours spent in taking care of their son/daughter. The formula of arithmetic mean is the sum of the values divided by the number of values. The Pearson r correlation will be used to describe the relationship between the single mothers’ performance in graduate school and the number of hours spent in taking care of their son/daughter.
e. Research Questions and Hypotheses.
A survey questionnaire to collect data in a graduate school. On the survey questionnaire, you these are the possible research questions:
1. What is the profile of the single mothers in terms of:
1.1. Age
1.2. Status: Single, Divorced, Widowed
2. How is the single mothers’ performance be described based on their general weighted average?
3. How many hours do single mothers spend taking care of their son/daughter or children?
4. Is there a significant relationship between the single mothers’ performance in grad school and the number of hours spent taking care of their son/daughter or children.
5. What program may be suggested to improve single mothers’ performance in graduate school?
By survey questionaire, we’ve discovered that being a full-time single mom and a full-time graduate student causes you to struggle with time management. We want to make it easier for single mothers to continue their education by providing child care and rent assistance programs that allow single mothers to finish their education without having to worry about child care while also working full-time. As a result, more single mothers will be able to complete their education without feeling stressed.
f. Definition of variables.
The variables that will be involved in this study are the single mothers’ performance in graduate school and the number of hours spent taking care of their son or daughter. The independent variable will be the single mothers’ performance in school (GWA) and the dependent variable will be the number of hours spent taking care of their son or daughter.
g. Summary
It’s exceedingly challenging to be a full-time graduate student and a full-time single mother. The major goal of this study is to see if there is a link between single mothers’ academic achievement and the number of hours they spend caring for their son/daughter or children. We aim to make it easier for single women to raise their children and continue their education.
