A thorough lab report is typically between 2-3 pages.

Guidelines

Readable font, double-spaced, 1” margins
Use APA Style for all references, section headings, and other formatting (here’s a really helpful resource!)
The lab report should be written in your own words. You need to summarize any of the papers you read/write about and the information from the lab. Absolutely no quotations are allowed
Sections

Introduction:
While the CogLab website for each experiment lists some rudimentary background, this will not be enough to complete your introduction
Find at least one additional article (though you may need more) that discusses the theory underpinning the CogLab hypothesis.
Be careful not to plagiarize or quote unnecessarily.
Method:
ONLY methods of the CogLab experiment that you participated in. Not the methods from the original study being replicated or one that you read.
You do not need to include a Participant section but you should include Materials and Procedure
Results:
This section does not require you to perform any statistical analyses comparing your individual data to the global data reported by CogLab; rather you should describe (in words) the pattern of results for your individual data, the group data, and the global data.
Please insert figures from the CogLab website as needed; it is easiest to describe results when referring to a figure
ONLY results of the CogLab experiment that you participated in. Not the results from the original study being replicated.
Discussion:
Evaluate your results and put them in a broader framework of research
Do the results support the research hypothesis?
Who cares, what does it mean, why should I be excited by these findings?
How do the results affect the theories you discussed in the introduction? Do they confirm, disagree?
