In the first part of this unit, you utilized search and browsing methods to satisfy a personal information need that was relevant and authentic to your own life. Now—let’s further challenge each other and ourselves and practice three strategies to find relevant information for topics we care about from trustworthy sources.
What You’ll Do
Read and Explore (20 minutes)

Then, you will act as both navigator and as notes recorder. Decide on a search engine that you would like to use for this activity. Then go to this Google Doc (Links to an external site.) download a copy, and start searching! There is a series of questions to complete.
Writing Reflection (25 minutes)
Discuss answers to these questions:

What is easier?
How do we best use our learned skill set to search for information in the future?
