This assignment is a two part assignment and “technically” two different papers in one.
Part one’s instructions are the following: “Obtain national and state statistics to provide information about the extent of the problem, the population impacted by the problem, the socioeconomic or demographic trends that are influencing the size of the problem, the extent to which the problem is experienced by some groups more than others (for example, women, immigrant populations, Veterans, people with disabilities, children, elders, LGBTQ communities, residents of geographically unique areas such as rural areas, or some other vulnerable group of interest to you) and how much of a difference exists between groups. ”
Please include the following in your analysis:
A clearly defined social problem
The social/economic costs associated with the social problem and the scope of the problem geographically, amongst population groups, within organizations/institutions, and the governing apparatus.
The impact and consequences of the problem as you have defined it.
How that impact differs across various affected populations.
Part Two’s instruction’s:
A summarization of the public law, its intent/purpose, provisions, duration, sponsors
The history of its passage including the forces that identified the need of such a provision and a brief narrative of the steps taken to achieve passage and when accomplished.
A legislative history of the law’s passage, such as who introduced the bill, if there was bipartisan support, who signed the bill into law, and when.
IF possible, It would be appreciated if the paper was split into two.
