Allocate at least 4 hours in the field to support this field experience.
Outside of classroom hours, share the pre-assessment you developed in Topic 1 with your mentor teacher. Revise your pre-assessment based on feedback from your mentor teacher and arrange a time to administer the pre-assessment to a small group of students during your field experience. After you have administered the pre-assessment, discuss the results with your mentor teacher.
Use any remaining field experience hours to assist the teacher in providing instruction and support to the class.
Following your field experience, write a 250-500 word reflection on your pre-assessment implementation and results. In your reflection, consider the following questions:
1. Did the implementation go as you had planned? What adjustments did you have to make?
2. How did you identify and address accommodation needs during your pre-assessment?
3. What do the results of the pre-assessment show?
4. Based on pre-assessment data , what interventions and next steps do you believe the small group needs? Justify your response.
5. How did you ensure that you were implementing ethical and responsible assessment practices when gathering and analyzing the data? How will this ensure you are meeting the needs of all students?
Pre- Assessment teacher comment:
Creating pre-assessments is important and they need to be connected to specific standards. Please look over your assignment again and choose two standards and two pre-assessments that would match with the unit that you are creating.
I need a video on Pre-Assessment Implementation in any grade from Kindergarden to 3rd grade just one grade and can be more then one to add up to 4 hours in total. I like youtube because its the best one to use.
Please review the following list of helpful resources and links to sites where students can access supplemental videos or experiences for practicum/field experience hours: (Can be more than one in one grade level of kindergarten to 3rd grade.) All videos must be in the same grade chosen.
