My Assignment Topic
Description: Opioid abuse is a
worsening problem in the United States, and is present all around us. It is
vital that nurses take a stand and lead in a movement to lessen opioid abuse,
which will in turn decrease the number of unintentional deaths every year. Not
only will deaths decrease, but associated comorbidities, psychological
problems, and social problems will also somewhat resolve. Adequate plans, such
as day programs or inpatient programs, need to be closely managed by nurses in
order to promote adequate treatment for opioid addiction and abuse.
Assignment
Fill out the attached 1-page TEMPLATE for
each of the 5 different articles that may be used in the literature
review on for research paper. This is a QUALITATIVE paper when all is said and done down the road. The
primary research studies much be from peer reviewed nursing
journals and/or related professional journals which should be included in the literature
overview, each with a publication date within the past five years. These
studies should be original research, and not literature reviews, meta-analyses,
or systematic reviews.
Responses for each article should be typed directly on to the template
(4 templates completed once done). Please note that responses provided on the
template should summarize and paraphrase the information you are gathering from
each source. It is not appropriate to
copy and paste information from your research articles on to the template. The
only exceptions to this would be research questions and/or hypotheses that are
germane to a study. In the selection of your studies for the literature
overview, you will want to consider those resources that will assist in addressing
the key topical areas that will be required as part of the capstone essay in
future weeks and namely:
