Should be academic research papers of approximately 750 words or a creative project (art, music, video, PowerPoint, or screenplay …) accompanied by a shorter academic paper of approximately 250 words explaining the research and thinking that went into the project.
The paper must use at least one peer-reviewed academic journal article that you have found
the thesis/hypothesis that you are going to demonstrate, usually at the end of the first paragraph (see Middleton’s paper) and indicated by words like “This paper will show/argue/prove/suggest … ;“
Provide arguments and evidence to support that thesis (usually one per paragraph);
Possible objections to your argument and how you would answer those objections;
Say why proving your thesis is important for our (or your) understanding;
The paper should be written in Chicago (notes, bibliography) Style:
· Make sure all your sources are fully and adequately cited
