The most significant database utilized when formulating the PICOT question was PubMed data base. I manipulated PubMed’s information by reading the article and applying positive outcomes that relates to my PICOT question. There is an abstract that disclose a generalized point of view in the article. I reviewed the methods, results and conclusive outcome that correspond to my PICOT question.
My PICOT question is using interventional method to answer if emergency room average wait time affects the patient’s outcome (Morley. C et al,. 2018). Being in the ED, I’ve witness extensive wait times and patient acuity change from stable to unstable. The high volume makes it nearly impossible to see everyone accordingly. An acuity level system helps separate emergent patient who need to be evaluated sooner than urgent patients who can wait a little longer. A documented study gives the reader like myself additional information to answer my PICOT question.

I used a database that has credible resources as well. The article I selected is a secondary source based on other documented articles. The search strategy to find these articles were explained, numerous sources exceeding 4,000 articles were included, and a common factor was discovered in the results.
