A primary objective for structuring a board of directors is to increase its efficiency and effectiveness. The type of governance structure that works best is based on the organization’s mission, activities, culture, and preferred way of working. In this Discussion, you will examine the role of committees and recommend a governance structure for the nonprofit organization you have chosen for your Final Project.
With these thoughts in mind:
By Day 4
Post the name and mission of the nonprofit organization you have selected for your Final Project paper or one you are familiar with. Then, provide a summary of how the board of directors is structured and evaluate the role of any committees it may have. Finally, recommend how this board structure or the committees could be changed to improve board performance and organizational effectiveness.
Be sure to support your postings and responses with specific references to the Learning Resources and outside scholarly resources.
