For
this first discussion you are to post a response to the following question. “Compare
the reconstruction plans of President Andrew Johnson with those of the Radical
Republicans in Congress. Note, this is not referring to the Wade-Davis Bill but
the reconstruction plan put into effect by Congress beginning in 1866. Which of
these two plans do you think was the best and why?”
Your
answer should be no shorter than 250 words. After you answer this question you
must return to this discussion several times during the week and respond
to the postings of your fellow classmates. A minimum of three such responses
are required. Each response should be at least a paragraph in length.
