Explain why your topic is the right fit for GBC students entering the healthcare field.

Week 10 submission: due before class.
Before you start your research, you will create a Research Rationale (10%).
Background information:
You will propose a presentation to the Dean of Health Sciences for the upcoming GBC conference: Combatting Discrimination in Canadian Healthcare. Your proposal should be persuasive as you explain why your topic is the right fit for GBC students entering the healthcare field. Be sure to explain why this specific trend is personally meaningful and relevant to you. Give specific original suggestions that you can enact in your daily work life. Do not forget to earn your reader’s trust and convince them to believe you. You will need to communicate with integrity, so be sure to consider objections or questions from your audience and to cite all borrowed information (2-3 sources) according to the APA 7 style guidelines.
Rationale Exercise: Think about the class discussion and questions.
Choose a focus for your proposal and answer the following questions in full sentences.
1. What is the problem that you want to solve or the change that you want to see?
2. Why exactly did you choose this topic- personally and professionally?
3. Why do you think it is important for GBC students in the healthcare field to know about this?
4. Who is your target audience – who will carry out this change?
5. What do you think your audience already knows or assumes about this topic?
6. Why do you think it hasn’t changed? What do you think is stopping us/them?
7. What will you need to do to convince them to change?
8. What kinds of evidence will be most effective: ethos, pathos, logos?
9. Where will you look for this evidence?
10. What personal/professional experience can you add to this conversation?

Submit this document via email before class next week.
Write your name and title of the assignment in the file name.
