Write a paper as a future professional,and how it is important for you to better understand the needs of children who are at-risk for disabilities and those with diagnosed disabilities and how to best include children in the early learning environment. Over the past few weeks, we have been learning about specific populations; it is your turn to dig a little deeper and to become the expert on a population. To do this, you will be creating a Professional Development Module and presenting your topic to your peers.
You will be researching, creating a professional development module, and presenting your module. Including your textbook, use 3 sources that support your inclusive practices for your chosen population.
Introduce your population and include one to two inclusive strategies or practices that will support the child in the early learning environment. Strategies and practices can include specific environment adaptations or specific teaching strategies. Practices could also include specific guidelines for family involvement. The ideas are limitless!
When deciding on how to present the information to your peers, a variety of methods can be used. This will be your time to teach and share your understanding of the material with your peers. Use a presentation method that best fits you. Presentations should be 30 minutes. Please do not exceed 30 minutes.
