The goal of this assignment is to write a short children’s book describing death/grief to a child.
My vision for this assignment is to use real-life examples in the book. My mom passed away a few months ago and I’d like to incorporate ideas that relate to her. I would like the following incorporated in this short children’s story:
1) I would like the subject that is no longer alive to be “Froggie”. This was my mom’s nickname and it means a lot to me. You can make the characters frogs or whatever you feel works.
2) Please rhyme (Something like: “Froggie says she is leaving soon, she says she’s traveling to the moon”)
3) The subject had cancer. Find a kid-friendly way to communicate time is precious and we as humans should show kindness to all.
