Introductory Paragraph: Introduce the topic of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This should be a short paragraph (4-5 sentences) with basic information regarding ADHD among children.
Paragraph 1: Information from the Text Book. Here, summarize what you learned from the textbook. Include 2-3 things that you were surprised to learn. Use Chapter 11 in your textbook and view the section on Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
Paragraph 2: Information from the Podcast. Here, summarize what you learned from the podcast. Be sure to include the following: 1. What surprised you from the information presented about ADHD?
2. Was there anything you did not agree with? Why or Why not? This should be based on information from the textbook or other source, not just your personal opinion. Back-up your view with information.
3. Has your knowledge and awareness about ADHD changed or increased since listening to the Podcast? How?
Paragraph 3: Compare the information from the textbook to the Podcast. Does the information in the Podcast contradict or does it confirm the information in the textbook? How? Why? Be specific. Also, explain how you feel about the treatment of people with ADHD. What are some ways you could use the information you learned in your life? This is your opportunity to demonstrate what you know and what you have learned from the information presented.
Conclusion: Briefly summarize what you have learned about ADHD. If you were to research this topic, what would your research focus on? Why?
4. After you have finished writing your paper you will need to include a Reference Page. Please see the Sample APA paper I have provided located in the Writing Assignment Directions Folder.
Hint: The textbook and Podcast are written in APA style appropriate for the reference page in the Syllabus.
