Write a paper Investigating the idea of the uncanny as horrific (as in Poe and Hoffmann) and connect it to other examples in a text from the class; how does the uncanny function as a horror device on those books?
At least one primary source texts from class should be used as well as no less than 5 secondary sources all cited using MLA style. It is not an entirely academic essay, but it isn’t solely a creative piece either; it is something in-between. It is a synthesis of your personal explorations and associations as they related to the critical argument of the piece. Please note that you may also write a strictly academic paper, however.
