This term paper assignment will provide the student with the opportunity to critically explore a professional nursing issue / topic, demonstrating critical inquiry and reflection on the course content. The student will submit a comprehensive scholarly paper on one of the topics below. The essay must not exceed five (5) pages or be less than four (4) pages, not including the title page and reference pages. Content over the page limit will not be read or graded.
The term paper is a scholarly submission based-on the analysis of peer reviewed academic resources. Students must reference a minimum of eight (8) scholarly articles from peer reviewed academic journals to support the essay topic chosen. The paper must clearly demonstrate knowledge of relevant and current nursing research and literature (no more than 5-7 years old). Avoid use of non scholarly sources (e.g. non scholarly internet sites)
The paper is designed for students to develop a scholarly approach in their articulation of the analysis of their chosen issue / topic. APA (7th ed.) formatting and referencing is required.
The paper should consist of an introduction (ending with a thesis), body (3-4 subtopics to support the thesis), and conclusion. Headings are required, using proper APA (7th ed.) formatting are to be used.
