The individual project is a paper we have to write based on the phases the project went thru (initiation, preparation, implementation etc)
, we must talk about methods used (agile or waterfall) then we must talk about the knowledge domains so like the time frame, scope, stakeholders, etc etc. We must also explain who what when where why and how this project is done for, it’s purpose.
This is the first of the two assignments to write a substantial paper. The purpose of this short assignment The requirement for this assignment is a short description of the project topic you choose. The objective is to make sure you are picking a good topic for your project paper. Submission must include:
A working title that is relevant and focused.
Description (300-350 words). This is an outline of the analytical report you will be writing. You must include the project dimensions – eg, what is the deliverable/product/result, who is the sponsor and what is the time period of the project (actual or projected start and end dates). Remember you have to do a critical analysis of the project in part 1B, so this outline should give an overview of the area you intend to cover in the larger body of work. Excess of 400 words will be penalized.
References (Include at least 1 quality reference. References can be on context and content from reliable sources, but it is recommended you include at least one research reference related to project management from an authentic source)
Sample topics:
Research about a historical project that’s completed. Focus on what went well, what went wrong, and if you’re the project manager, what any improvement suggestions.
Research about a current project that’s in progress. Focus on what is happening, what is doing well, what are the criticisms, and if you are in the project manager, what would you do differently.
Research on a contemporary topic in project management. This can be an area of interest (e.g. working with difficult people on projects) or latest development (e.g., working on virtual, agile projects, across three time zones).
