Assignment – Workforce Plan – The Overview
For this assignment, choose a public sector or nonprofit organization, (It can be your current workplace, or where you want to work upon receiving your MPA.) and develop a workforce plan following the format below. This is a plan you develop, not one already created by the organization. If you are unable to respond to certain criteria, explain why. See attached resources for assistance. Answer the following Workforce Planning questions:
I. Overview
Describe the mission, strategic goals, objectives, and business functions of the agency. Indicates what changes, if any, may take place over the next few years that might affect the agency’s mission, objectives, and strategies.
Basic information to include in the workforce plan:
agency mission
agency strategic goals and objectives
core business functions
anticipated changes to the mission, strategies, and goals over the next five years.
Submission Your final workforce plan should be about 2-3 pages. It does not need to be in essay form. It can be in outline form; it can be bulleted; it can be a mindmap. However, your work should be something you would be proud to submit to your boss as a draft.
