Source #1 talks about how Science Fiction changed over the decades. I will probably use it as some sort of introduction for my paper. “Science fiction from the golden age of sci-fi in the ’50s and ’60s seems to have an optimistic angle on the future. More recent science fiction seems to be a little more dystopia and bleak”. This might be a quote I will use in my paper.

Source #2 gives a brief timeline of the history of science fiction. It talks about how science fiction was created. It also provided the most stunning literature of that year. When writing my paper, I would probably use some of the famous literature provided in source #2 as an example when introducing the history of science fiction. A quote I would use in my paper is “[s]cience fiction emerged nearly 300 years ago during a time of great advances in science. Since then authors have tried to make sense of their world by imagining what the future will look like.”

This website also talks about the characteristics of science fiction literature. Science fiction is a type of speculative fiction that includes elements that do not exist in reality. Science fiction covers a wide range of topics, including time travel, space travel, futuristic settings, and the implications of technical and scientific advancements. I am planning to use this source for the introduction of my paper. This is a great source for me to start my writing on because I can use it to introduce science fiction literature. I quote I may be using for my paper is “[s]cience fiction is one of the most creative genres in literature. Sci-fi novels take readers on adventures from faraway galaxies to underwater worlds and everywhere in between, introducing them to otherworldly characters and technologies along the way.
