You are required to select a property and write a business continuity plan (BCP) for a crisis scenario that a property could anticipate occurring.

-Type of Crisis: Workplace Violence Crisis
-Short Descriiption of the Type of business / organization: A well-known restaurant in St. Catharines. It is a casual dining restaurant with 100 seats each and an excellent reputation.
-Why this is considered a Crisis as Defined in this course:
Choice • There are not many options for the management to approach due to the seriousness of the situation.
Certainty • Decision needed to be made with limited information.
Urgency • Management personnel have to make a quick decision on the spot.
Cost • Cost isn’t the most crucial thing to save the business.
Continuity • Restaurants can be shut down for investigation.
Time • The restaurant’s reputation can be tamped, and it can’t recover from the financial loss during the crisis.
Impact • Threats to the customers and the employees. People won’t feel safe working and eating there after a shooting.
Outcome • No one can predict a shooting. When it happens, it already harms the business. The only choice is to deal with the consequences and try to survive.
