Instructions: Outline of Law Enforcement Scandal Paper Please review the instructions for the Law Enforcement Scandal Paper Instructions in the Week 7 assignment tab. Your outline should be 1-2 pages in length and should describe in short sentences the flow of your paper. It should list the steps in order of how you are going to present your paper. You should have 3-5 general headings with 2-3 sub-headings under each general heading. See Purdue University Online Writing Lab (OWL) for tips on preparing an effective outline. You should have the following sections: Introduction -A clear “purpose statement” -Introductory sentence that explicitly explains what the paper is about – the main points of analysis. -A quick overview of the points of analysis Analysis (Body) -Summary of law enforcement scandal -Identify the major players in the scandal -Two ways the scandal affected law enforcements’ relationship with the community -How the use of police discretion contributed the scandal -Changes that were made in the department because of the scandal Conclusion -At least one or two concise sentences of the analysis ***Remember that you should have all the words spelled correctly, use proper grammar, follow APA guidelines and make it interesting.
