It’s explaining what is going on in a particular subject area or it’s tackling a particular question. What are some of the key questions or arguments around this subject? What is the historical development of this topic? Why is it significant? Who are some big names in that field and what do they say in their writings? This kind of presentation/paper does not centre around an argument or thesis. Think of it as teaching the class something new. You may or may not agree with the positions you’re explaining; you’re just laying out the issue.
*3-5 sources using Routledge handbook of religion and ecology by Willis Jenkins also use Yale Forum website and other sources that are not specific to a university. Should be able to access the references directly and should be scholarly.
