Write letter for a civil service job promotion and now you need a letter to appeal there decision basically said you don’t qualify that the promotional job announcement would not serve as a promotion from my current title which is wrong. Were all one dept public works. So need a letter stating This would be a promotion within public works dept from a senior rd inspector to a road repair supervisor. When I started I was a road repairer then I went to Engineering which is still public works dept and took a LATERAL transfer as a road inspector they said titles were equal then became senior road inspector in public works and now applying for promotion of road repair supervisor which is a promotion! I qualify for the road repair supervisor promotion a I have all the related experience required plus more. They said basically needed to be a sr road repairer to get road supervisor but I was a road repairer but became road inspector again which was equal title so I dont know what the issue is I more then qualify for promotion. I will upload original letter you guys wrote for when applied for job so you can see experience. Hope you understand what im looking for I know its alot of confusion im sorry. Basically its the titles thing saying I dont qualify cause im sr road inspector not sr road repairer but again it was a lateral transfer they said titles were equal and I have all required experience for the promotion.
