This topic is about Greek Mythology. It needs to be 4-5 pages without the title page and bibliography. It must be written in double space, size 12 font, in times new roman.
The assignment is about Madeline Miller’s novel Circe. The goal of this assignment is not to summarize the novel but to
give a verdict and opinion on the novel. Is it good? Bad? Somewhere in between? In particular, paying attention to Miller adapting the material from ancient myths and the Odyssey in particular. This is less of a question about right or wrong
and more about how Miller changes the material and if she has done well with reason and purpose.
The review will focus on the characteristics of the Circe. There are other topics to consider. Perhaps the relationships
with gods and/or humans, the changing charatrictis of the Odyssey, or the characterization of “minor” characters
(Hermes, Pasiphae, or Jason). Perhaps even considering Millersunderstanding of Circe, Odysseus, and the Odyssey.
The only citations and references are the Odyssey by Homer and Circe by Madeline Miller.
